    Prerequisite(s): Pass French AP Exam with a minimum score of 3.. This course is part of the French Bridge Program in the State of Utah, open only to high school students in the Bridge Program. Not to be taught on main campus, and not open to students who are not enrolled in a participating high school. Explores the City of Lights through the prism of important themes, including, but not limited to, the arts, history, commerce, technology, sports, etc. Examines course themes through a variety of approaches, such as project based instruction, class discussion, and reaction papers. Taught in French.

Emphasizes practical communication skills and professional vocabulary and prepares students for the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris certification exam.. Lab access fee of $12 applies.

Integrates new cultural perspectives in papers and assignments researched and written in French. Conducted entirely in French.

Emphasizes literary analysis and criticism. Builds knowledge of literary history, develops skills in interpreting literary texts, and deepens understanding of the French language. Conducts all class activities, instruction, and presentations entirely in French.

Prepares students to take the exam leading to the Dipl+me de fran+ais des affaires (DFA) awarded by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris (taught entirely in French). Focuses on effective communication in business contexts, both oral and written. Engages in authentic tasks such as case studies, marketing strategies, r+sum+ and cover letter writing, job interview preparation, and digital communication tools.
